La Jolla Shores

With beautiful nature, calm beach and a small park, La Jolla Shore is a perfect spot for kids, families and those who want to picnic or relax by the beach.

 

In summer, waves at this beach are usually the most gentle of all San Diego beaches, although rip currents may still be strong at times.

 

Surfing

Surfing is permitted in specified areas and waves tend to be relatively small.

 

Beach Fire

Containers for beach fires are generally provided during summer months and available on a first come, first served basis.

 

Seals

Visitors can watch the seals and sea lions that play in and around the shore or at Seal Rock, their offshore reserve.
